The Business of Books in a Changing Landscape: Publishing Ireland Trade Day
Friday, 16 November
In a rapidly changing cultural landscape it is essential for publishers to remain relevant and in-touch with their audience. The 6th Publishing Ireland annual Trade Day will explore the challenges of creating a coherent and profitable publishing brand, together with the changes in the Irish Consumer Market over the past 10 years. It will hear from an incredibly successful new independent publisher which has carved out a niche in a crowded market as well as a much-loved imprint which has maintained its identity and focus within a corporate structure. It will also look beyond publishing to examine how the wider Irish media landscape is adapting to the digital age alongside insights and vision from Ireland’s largest book retailer. Join us for a day-long series of talks and discussions on the business and future of books. Speakers include
Kate Wilson, founder of Nosy Crow
Rosanna Boscawen of Vintage
Oliver Beldham of Nielsen
Bill Malone of Virgin Media Television
Brendan Corbett of Eason
