Expression of Interest

Literature Ireland invites expressions of interest to exhibit on the Irish National Stand at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2021. An in-person fair is scheduled to take place from 20 – 24 October 2021.

The Frankfurt Book Fair 2021 will be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and re-establish key business relationships.

The Irish National Stand 2021 will consist of major Irish publishers who regularly attend the fair. This year, we have limited availability for new or returning Irish publishers. If you wish to exhibit, please send an email expressing your interest no later than Friday, 18 June. Health and Safety / Cancellation Policy

The Frankfurt Book Fair will adhere to all German government health and safety measures. With this in mind, they will allocate extra space, free of charge, to enable social distancing on all stands and aisles.

In light of current uncertainties, the fair has introduced a full refund policy. According to the Frankfurt Buchmesse, “Thanks to additional funding from the German government’s NEUSTART KULTUR programme, we can gladly inform you that there will be no cancellation fees if we must cancel the book fair, or if you must cancel your plans to attend at short notice due to circumstances relating to the pandemic.”

For these reasons, we are confident that we can plan for a physical fair.

At this stage, the stand size has yet to be confirmed and the pricing structure for space on the stand is yet to be set. Each publisher pays a contribution to the overall stand fees, based on space allocated in the stand.
