Indie Book Week 2016

Calling all publishers!

Indie Book Week will be held from the 18-25 June this year, and many bookshops around the country have decided to take part! The week was set up to celebrate independent booksellers, who today can often be looked over in favour of larger international retailers. Bookstores will be participating during the week by holding events, doing promotions and by advertising on social media. Our hope is that publishers can organise for the authors of some of their books to give readings at their local bookshops and attend events in order to promote Indie Book Week.

Indie Book Week in previous years has consisted of a number of events held in bookstores around Ireland and in the UK. Some of these events include readathons, book signings by authors and even live story-writing.
