Marrakesh

The Marrakesh Treaty on accessible content has now been transposed into Irish law. The departmental guidelines (download below via link provided) explain the obligations of publishers to make available, on request from an Authorised Entity (in Ireland, the NCBI) a copy of a work so that it can be made accessible for reading disabled people.

It also allows transfer of such accessible copies across national boundaries: there are some innovative international operations whose goal is to make this easier and (almost as importantly) faster for the reading disabled.
