Our Eighth Annual Trade day took place virtually and offered sessions around the theme of “Looking Forward”.
First up was Jon Butler, MD of Quercus as he discussed “How to Build a Publishing Strategy”. This was followed by “The Future of Retail” – an interview with Maria Dickenson of Dubray Books and James Daunt, MD of Waterstones and Barnes & Noble. Sandra Whelan of Nielsen, took attendees on a data “deep dive” with a look at trends in this very strange year in books.
The day ended with an inspiring talk from Keynote Speaker Joanna Prior, MD of Penguin General as she discussed the key challenges and opportunities that face the publishing world as we enter a new decade.
