Little Island Books are delighted that they can finally share Philip Womack’s new teen fantasy novel Ghostlord is out in the world.
Following the success of Wildlord (Little Island, 2021), which The Financial Times called ‘reminiscent of the great Alan Garner’ and of which author Jonathan Stroud said ‘Made me feel I was reading a classic from the shelves of my childhood’, Philip Womack returns with a new novel for teens. This time, Womack is delving into the rich literary tradition of ghost stories, with the same flare for storytelling that left readers of Wildlord enchanted. Womack remains fascinated by questions of standing up against corruption and the nature of evil, which ground this other-worldly tale in modern life.
Philip Womack is a British author and journalist, and his writing has appeared in The Daily Telegraph, The Times, The Literary Review and TLS. His books for children and teens include Wildlord (Little Island, 2021), the fantasy trilogy The Darkening Path and The Arrow of Apollo. The non-fiction How to Teach Classics to Your Dog was published in 2020.
