The Lilliput Press is one of Ireland’s oldest and most prestigious publishing houses. We publish a wide variety of books and are proud to represent esteemed authors such as James Joyce, Martina Devlin, John Moriarty, Alice Lyons, J.P. Donleavy and many others. We specialize in biography, historical non-fiction and memoir, while also being one of Ireland’s leading fiction publishers and are known for discovering exciting new talents such as Donal Ryan, Rob Doyle, Elske Rahill and Adrian Duncan, among many others.
Founded by Antony Farrell in 1984 in County Westmeath, where Jonathan Swift spent his summers, we have since moved and are now located in Arbour Hill, Stoneybatter, Dublin 7. More than 600 titles have appeared under our imprint; these encompass art, music (both traditional and popular Irish music), architecture, memoir, biography, history, ecology and environmentalism, essays and literary criticism, philosophy, current affairs and popular culture, fiction, drama and poetry. We are particularly focused on publishing high quality books of Irish interest. The Lilliput Press was awarded Ireland’s Small Press of the Year in 2020 by The Bookseller.
